June’s Story
When June Jones found out last November that she had been accepted into
the Interfaith Dental Clinic program she was beyond delighted.
June had lived for many years with decaying teeth.
She suffers from a heart murmur and she knew she had to have them removed. Unfortunately, she also knew that she could not afford to have her mouth restored at today's
market prices.
June attended the Interfaith Dental Clinic educational class last Fall and she knew she had come to the right place. She was told at her initial exam that she would need to have 15 teeth extracted and replaced with an upper and lower denture. Initially she was frightened about the procedure but she found that everything went smoothly. “It was easy, it was nothing.” states June, “I couldn’t ask for a better experience.”
June used to be ashamed to have her picture taken, she always kept her mouth closed. Now she doesn’t have to do that any more! She says of the Interfaith staff, “I couldn’t ask for better people, they are all just wonderful” June now feels better not only about her appearance, but her over-all health as well.
